The basic part of Kiev hotels do not correspond to the declared category, and those ones which are under the construction, initially do not plan their "star status". About that it was told in the message of resort complex Ripario Hotel Group.
"The owners of many hotel projects which are under construction do not reflect about standards of stars, at least, before the building termination, they are guided only on the experience which, as a rule, has not anything in common with hotel business. Frequently they want to build in cheap way, without attraction of experts of a hotel profile and upon to declare level of hotel not less than 4-5 stars", - the operater of complex Ripario Hotel Group’s assets Artem Mushihin has told.
According to Mushihin’s mind, the decision of the authorities to conduct the categorisation of hotels (The bill "About the obligatory categorisation of objects of tourist infrastructure") is a great advance of the industry of Ukraine’s hospitality.
"First of all, it’ll start stimulate for maintain all requirements of the category which they plan to declare after finishing of the building" for new objects, - he is assured.
Secondly, the obligatory categorisation will clear up hotel projects.
After all today every second hotel which names itself the object of 4-5 stars hasn’t any confirming certificates.
"The number of stars in the advertising brochure, which are not representing the facts, leads to that the deceived visitors, more often foreigners, do not come back to us to rest. It negatively affects tourist branch as a whole", - the expert has underlined.
He has also noticed that after categorisation passing to the hotel industry there the segmentation will be obviously expressed.
"First of all the VIP segment will grow. The objects of an economy class under any circumstances will remain under the expense of private inhabited sector, or under the expense of two-stars minihotels. The middle classed hotels will be presented least of all, - Mushihin confirms.
